Implant Dentist Dr. Andrew Currie

As a Georgia native, born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Currie attended the University of Georgia in nearby Athens. He graduated a proud UGA Bulldog with degrees in Biology and Spanish. He continued his education at the University of Louisville, obtaining a Doctorate in Dental medicine and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology.

The next step was a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Georgia, which was recently renamed Augusta University. During this residency, Dr. Currie trained in the finer points of surgical dentistry, including implant placement, IV sedation, handling more complex patients with medical conditions, and discovering a love for teaching as the program’s Chief Resident. In regards to IV sedation, Dr. Currie is proud to be one of the 4% of dentists in all of Georgia who is trained and licensed to provide this service in-office.

Dr. Currie also believes in giving back, volunteering for dental mission trips through the Georgia Mission of Mercy, both as a dentist and Spanish translator.

Outside the Office

Dr. Andrew Currie lives in Brookhaven, Atlanta with his wife and local attorney, Alison. He loves spending time with his wife, family, friends, attending sporting events, concerts, cooking, and traveling.

Memberships

Staying up-to-date on the advanced developments in his field is one way that Dr. Currie ensures top-notch care for his patients. He returns at least once a month to the General Practice Residency for work as a part-time faculty member, and was one of the youngest recipients for a Fellowship at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

He later obtained status as a Diplomate for the ICOI, and maintains memberships in:

• Academy of General Dentistry
• American Dental Association
• Georgia Dental Association

Dr. Andrew Currie is part of a highly experienced team that is devoted to you and perfecting your smile. Our goal is to ensure that you have access to all the treatments and services you need under one roof. We do everything we can to avoid passing you around to other offices, and we will work hard to streamline the process for a more convenient treatment.

Dr. Currie is the surgical side of the implant process, working in conjunction with Dr. Rich Creasman, who supplies the crown restorations.
